Richard Sagall, M.D., is a graduate of Antioch College and the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. After completing his family practice residency at the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME, he and his wife decided to stay in Bangor. During his last year of residency, he cofounded Pediatrics for Parents. After 17 years in Bangor, he and his wife moved to Philadelphia where he nnow practices occupational medicine.In addition to publishing Pediatrics for Parents, he runs two other websites. NeedyMeds www.needymeds.com contains information on pharmaceutical manufacturer's patient assistance programs. These programs help those in need obtain their medications at no or very low cost. The home page receives 35-40,000 hits a week.
Occ Med Central www.occmedcentral.com is Dr. Sagall's most recent project. This site contains information on occupational medicine, drug abuse testing, occupational safety, and related topics. It's goal is to be the most comprehensive source of occupational medicine information on the web.
Dr. Sagall is the Medical Director of Drug Free Business Solutions (www.drugfreebiz.com), a provider of drug and alcohol information and the Director of Medical Affairs for TrueScreen, a drug abuse testing company.
