Michael K. Meyerhoff, Ed.D.

Michael K. Meyerhoff, Ed.D., is executive director of the Epicenter Inc., "The Education for Parenthood Information Center," a family advisory and advocacy agency located in Lindenhurst, Illinois.

He received his doctorate in Human Development from Harvard University, and he has been instrumental in the design and implementation of several innovative parent preparation and support programs. He has authored three books, 30 booklets, and over 100 articles for both parents and professionals, and his regular columns have twice been awarded the first-prize citation from Parenting Publications of America and have been awarded a first-prize National Headliners award. He makes frequent appearances on radio and television shows, including NBC's Today Show, and is regularly invited to speak to parent and professional groups throughout the United States and Canada.

He and his wife, the former owner and director of the largest child care center and preschool in the state of Illinois, spend whatever spare time they have playing with their 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 2 to 14 years, including 3 year old triplets.
