Product: 'My Baby Soother' Pacifier Distributor: T L Trading Corp., of Brooklyn, NY Recall: October 26, 2009. This is not an official recall but rather a warning. The CPSC has issued a warning to stop using My Baby Soother pacifiers because they don't meet the federal safety standard for pacifiers. The nipples can detach from the base, posing a choking hazard to children. T L Trading has refused to recall the product but the CPSC urges all parents to discard this pacifier. The Consumers Union goes one step further and urges all parents to return the recalled pacifier to T L Trading and demand a refund for the cost of the pacifier and shipping cost (T L Trading, 17 Meserole St., Brooklyn, NY 11206-1901). The approximately 16,500 recalled pacifiers were sold at grocery stores, delis and discount stores in Bronx, Brooklyn, Broadway and Coney Island in NY from August 2007 through July 2009 for $1. What to do: Either throw out the pacifier or mail it to T L Trading, 17 Meserole St., Brooklyn, NY 11206-1901 with a letter requesting a refund. Contact: T L Trading at (718) 782-5550, 17 Meserole St., Brooklyn, NY 11206-1901 |
