Recall: November 5, 2009. MacPherson's has recalled approximately 10,000 children's Young Artist Easels because the chalkboard side contains high levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported.

The recall involves an art easel that has green chalkboard surface on one side and a white board surface on the other side. The item # AA1330 and UPC 082435133010 code can be found on the original packaging. The recalled easels were sold in art supply stores nationwide and online from July 2004 through June 2009 for $75.

What to do: Take away the recalled easel from a child and contact MacPherson's for a replacement chalkboard panel.
