Recall: January 26, 2010. RadioShack has recalled approximately 6,000 toy helicopters because the battery housing can overheat while charging and pose a fire hazard.There has been one report of a store's demonstration toy overheating while charging with no injuries or property damage.
The recall involves the Danbar Toys Knight Hawk 3D remote control helicopter, model # 006047. The recalled helicopters have catalog number 600-0566 (also 60-566) and were sold for children ages eight and up.The helicopters were sold in RadioShack dealer franchises nationwide and online at www.radioshack.com from October 2009 through November 2009 for $60.
What to do: Take the helicopter away from a child and return to the nearest RadioShack for a refund.
