Recall: August 6, 2009. Target has recalled approximately 43,000 Circo booster seats because the belt buckle can unexpectedly open and pose a fall hazard to a child. Target has received at least eight reports of the buckle opening unexpectedly, including three reports of bruises.

The recalled items are the Circo booster seats that are blue and green hard plastic with white restraint strap and manufacture date codes of XJ0811, XJ0812, XJ0901, and XJ0902. The boosters were sold by Target nationwide from December 2008 through June 2009 for $13.

What to do: Stop using the recalled booster and return to any Target store for a refund.
