Product: Burley 2009 d'lite ST and Solo ST Child Trailers

Recall: August 19, 2009. Burley has recalled approximately 2,700 child trailers because the internal axle assembly may become loose and cause one wheel to separate from the trailer. This poses a risk of injury to the child occupant or the bike rider. No injuries have been reported.
The recalled items are Burley Design d'lite ST and Solo ST child trailers that hold one or two children and are designed to attach to the back of a bicycle. The affected serial numbers begin with D939 and D948. The serial number is located in the rear cargo area behind the seat on the lower left rear frame tube. The trailers have 'd'lite ST' or 'solo ST' screen printed on the cover.
What to do: Stop using the recalled child trailer immediately and contact Burley for a free axle replacement kit. Or contact Burley for the name of a local retailer who can make the free axle repair.
