Recall: August 27, 2009. Quiksilver has recalled approximately 500 cotton hoodies because they contain a waist drawstring that poses an entrapment hazard to children. There have been no injuries reported.
The recalled clothing is a girls' cotton hoodie that zips in the front and has a drawstring at the waist. It was sold in gray with blue lining and cherry with lavender lining. The hoodies were sold in girls' sizes S, M, L, XL. The style number is B487857, which is printed on the inside care label.
The hoodies were sold in nationwide retailers, including Macy, Nordstrom and Quiksilver stores from April 2009 through August 2009 for $40.
What to do: Remove the drawstring to eliminate the hazard, or return to store of purchase or to Quiksilver for a refund.
