Product: Buster Brown Clog Children's Shoes Distributor: Brown Shoe Co. Inc., of St. Louis, Mo. and its affiliate Pagoda International Footwear Ltd., of Hong Kong Recall: July 21, 2009. Buster Brown and Pagoda have recalled approximately 1.4 million pairs of children's clogs because the decorative wheels can detach, posing a choking hazard to children. There have been two reports of a wheel detaching but no injuries. The recall involves the Buster Brown & Co children's clog with model or retail number listed below. The clogs are molded plastic EVA and look like a car. The clogs are red, brown, blue, yellow or pink and most have the word 'CARS,' 'Transformers Animated,' or 'Barbie' on them. They were sold in children's sizes 5-13 and youth sizes 1-3. The recalled clogs were sold in stores nationwide including Bealls', Famous Footwear, J.C. Penney, Meijer, Rack Room, Sears, Shoe Show, Target, and Wal-Mart from August 2007 through June 2009 for $10-$25. What to do: Take the clogs away from a child and return to the place of purchase for a refund.
