Recall: August 4, 2009. Kaplan has recalled approximately 265 Yayita baby hammocks because the hammock can flip over, posing a fall or strangulation hazard to the infant seated in it. No incidents have been reported.

The recall involves the Yayita cream-colored canvas baby hammock, model #YABP-1, that hangs from a wooden pole and measures 29 x 43 inches. The hammock has three restraint straps with red buckles and is attached to a cushioned pad. 'La Siesta' is printed on a tag below the restraint straps.

The recalled hammocks were sold by Kaplan 2005-7 Infant, Toddlers & Two (ITT) catalog and online at www.kaplanco.com from July 2005 through August 2008 for $100.

What to do: Stop using the baby hammock and contact Kaplan for full credit towards the purchase of another product.
