Product: Children's Hooded Sweatshirt Importer: Jason Evans Assoc. LLC, of Hewlett, NY Recall: May 7, 2009. Jason Evans Associates has recalled approximately 1,300 children's hooded quilted sweatshirts because they contain a drawstring through the hood, which poses a strangulation hazard. There have been no injuries reported. The recalled item is a boys' zipper-front hooded sweatshirt with black quilted vest and attached grey sweatshirt arms and hood that was sold in boys sizes 4, 5, 6 and 7. RN number 30842 and style number 1708 are printed on the tag at the neck. The sweatshirts were sold by Burlington Coat Factory from September 2006 through April 2009 for $17. What to do: Remove the drawstrings from the hood to eliminate the hazard, or return to place of purchase or to Jason Evans Associates for a refund.
