Recall: May 14, 2009. Build-a-Bear has recalled approximately 260,000 (not including 9,700 in Canada) folding toy beach chairs because the chair legs can pinch, bruise or cut fingers while folding the chair. There have been eight (8) injuries reported. The recalled item is a wooden folding beach chair with canvas seat toy accessory for stuffed animals. Some styles include an attached pillow. The chairs were sold in blue (style #'s 002281, 004463, 009907, 011565, 102281, 109907, 111565), red (style #'s 007391, 011566, 107391, 111566), fuschia/white stripe (style #'s 013226, 113226) and orange/white stripe (style #'s 013227, 113227) in Build-a-Bear Workshop® stores nationwide and online at www.buildabear.com from March 2001 through October 2008 for $8 (and from March 2003 through October 2008 for $10 in Canada).

What to do: Return the recalled toy beach chair to any Build-a-Bear store for a $8 USD/$10 CDN coupon. If you can't return the chair to a store, contact Build-a-Bear.
