Product: Step2 Play Up Gym Set

Recall: May 27, 2009. Step2 has recalled approximately 4,300 Play Up Gym Sets because the triangular metal hangers that attach the swing ropes to the upper rail may break, posing a fall hazard to users. The affected hangers have black plastic brushing. Hangers with white plastic brushings are NOT recalled. There have 17 reports of hangers breaking but no injuries.
The recalled play sets are model # 797300, with UPC# 733538797394 and include a platform, climber, slide and two swings.
What to do: Inspect the metal triangular-shaped hangers (where the swings attach to the top rail). If your set has black plastic brushings (resemble a plastic washer) then stop using the play set immediately and contact Step2 for a free set of replacement hangers and install instructions. If your set has white plastic brushings then your set is not affected by the recall.
