Jardine Cribs

Product: Jardine Cribs

Manufacturer: Jardine Enterprises, of Taipei, Taiwan

Recall: April 30, 2009. Jardine Cribs has expanded two previous recalls (June 2008 and January 2009) and has now recalled 96,000 additional cribs because the wooden slats can break, creating a gap and posing an entrapment or strangulation hazard to young children. There have been 31 reports of slats breaking, including two reports of children becoming entrapped in the gap created by the broken slats. In 10 of these incidents, consumers reported that their child broke the slats while in the crib.
