Recall: July 1, 2008. Redcat has recalled approximately 1,400 FM RC vehicles because the FM remote can lose its signal and cause the vehicle to veer off course, posing an injury risk to the user or bystanders. There have been 15 reports of FM remote control malfunctions but no injuries. The recall involves five models sold in various colors. The five recalled models are:
Hurricane XP
Hurricane XP Pro
Avalanche XP
Monsoon XP
Tsunami UltraWide
The racers were sold nationwide by authorized dealers from March 2007 through April 2008 for $260-$400.
What to do: Stop using the recalled car and contact Redcat Racing for a product refund.
