Recall: May 27, 2008. Rawlings has recalled approximately 2,300 Coolflo® two-tone junior batting helmets because the surface paints contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. The recalled helmets are model number CFHLJR and were sold in yellow with black accents and orange with black accents in sporting goods stores between July 2007 and November 2007 for about $40.
What to do:: Stop using the helmet and return to the store where purchased, or contact Rawlings, for a free replacement product.
