Recall: May 28, 2008. Kids Station has recalled approximately 1 million Little Tikes Chit 'n' Chat toy cell phones because the hinge cover can detach and pose a choking hazard to a small child. There have been at least three reports of this toy cell phones breaking, including one report of a small child almost choking on a piece. The recalled toy is flip-style toy cell phone with a 10-number numeric button pad and three buttons with animal pictures above the numbers. Each button makes a sound when pressed. The toy phones have a sticker on the back with 'Designed and Licensed by Kids Station Toys International Ltd.' printed on the back, and with model #KSL4010 if it was sold individually, or model #KSL8032, KSL8033, or KSL8051 if sold as part of a set. The toy phones were sold nationwide from June 2006 through March 2008 for $8 (individually) or $20 (part of a set).

Please note that toy phones with a visible screw in the hinge cover are not recalled.

What to do:: Take the recalled toy cell phone away from a child and contact Kids Station for additional information.
