Product: Rock 'n' Ride Plush Rocker Base Manufacturer: Tek Nek Toys Int'l L.P., of Southlake, TX Recall: March 27, 2008. Tek Nek Toys has recalled approximately 122,000 rock 'n' ride plush rockers because the base can become unstable and cause the rider to fall over. There have been at least 35 reports rockers tipping over, including 10 reports of minor bumps and bruises. Eight models have been recalled: Pony (pink and white with pink harness and white base) Pony (brown and white with brown harness and brown base) Deluxe Pony (brown and white with brown harness and brown base) Unicorn (pink and white with purple harness and purple base) Deluxe Bull (brown and white with brown base) Lil' Penguin (black, white, red and yellow with blue base) Lil' Propeller Plane (red and blue with red base) Clifford Big Red Rocker (red with blue base). The rockers have plastic molded bases and were sold for children ages 18 months up to 65 pounds. Each rocker has a button on the ear, hat or dash that plays songs or phrases when pressed. The recalled rockers have date codes that range from July 26, 2007 through December 29, 2007, which can be found on the inside of the battery compartment. Only the rocker bases are being replaced, but customers are to stop using the entire rocker until they receive a new base. What to do:: Stop using the rocker immediately and contact Tek Nek for a free replacement base. Only the base will be replaced, not the entire rocker.
