Recall: April 18, 2008. Wal-Mart has recalled approximately 12,000 No Boundaries Hip Charm key chains because the metal charms contain excessive levels of lead, which can be toxic if ingested. There was at least one case where a 9-month-old child was found mouthing the key chain and had high blood levels of lead. There is no evidence the excessive lead in the key chain directly caused the child's increased blood lead level, but since the key chain and charms were tested and had high levels of lead, they have been recalled. The recalled key chain with charms are UPC #31568 11017. For more information on this recall, go to illinoishomepage.net. The recalled key chain comes with charms, including a button, clover, leaf, heart and a sand dollar. The key chain and charms were sold in Wal-Mart stores only from April 2005 through April 2008 for $6.
What to do:: Take the key chain and charms away from a child and return to Wal-Mart for a refund.
