Recall: April 24, 2008. Avon has recalled approximately 1,000 basketball and flower tables because the surface paints contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. The basketball table measures 16 inches high, has a 19-inch diameter basketball tabletop, and three white legs. The flower table measures 30 inches high, has a 15-inch diameter purple tabletop, and has a green petal-like stand with four legs that flare out towards the bottom. The tables were sold by Avon representatives in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands from June 2007 through August 2007 for $32 (basketball table) and $37 (flower table).
What to do:: Stop using the recalled table immediately and contact Avon for refund information.
