Product: Nintendo Video Game Character Lapel Pins Distributor: Nintendo of America Inc., of Redmond, WA Importer: Pro Source Inc., of Troutdale, OR Recall: April 29, 2008. Nintendo has recalled approximately 71,000 metal lapel pins because the surface paints contain excessive levels of lead, which violate the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. The recalled lapel pins measure approximately -inch x 2 inches and include 12 different video game characters, among them: Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Mario, Mario Kart, Pikachu, Princess Peach, Samus, Starfox, Waluigi and Wario. The recalled pins were given away as promotional items to employees who work in stores where Nintendo products are sold, and they were sold in only two company-owned stores: Nintendo Fun & Games employee store 4820 150th Ave NE Redmond, WA 98052 Nintendo World Store 10 Rockefeller Plaza New York, NY If you purchased one of the recalled pins in a store that is not listed above, the pin has not been recalled. The pins were distributed and/or sold from April 2004 through November 2007 and sold for $1.50-$4.00. What to do:: Stop using the recalled pin and call Nintendo for replacement information.
