Recall: May 1, 2008. Lowes has recalled approximately 84,000 wooden children's storage bins because they may contain excessive levels of lead, which would violate the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. The recalled bins are wooden scalloped-edged bins that were sold in pastel pink (item 226782) and pastel green (item 226781). The item number is located on the bottom of the bin. No other colored bins have been recalled. The recalled bins were sold in Lowe's stores nationwide from March 2007 through February 2008 for $6.
What to do:: Stop using the storage bin and return to any Lowe's for a full refund.
