Recall: April 8, 2008. Family Dollar has recalled approximately 870,000 magnetic dart boards because the magnetic tips can come off of the ends of the darts and pose a choking or aspiration hazard. No injuries have been reported. If a child swallows more than one small magnet, the magnets can attract each other and cause intestinal perforation or blockage. The recalled magnetic dart boards are black, green, blue, and white checkered design, with a red bullseye. They measure about 5 inches wide and were sold with two 2 -inch long magnetic darts. The darts magnetically attract to the dart board. The dart boards were sold for children age 4+ and were sold at Family Dollar stores nationwide from September 2002 through March 2008 for $1.
What to do:: Take the recalled dart board away from a child and return to the address below for a full refund. Remember to include your name and return mailing address.
