Recall: March 18, 2008. Galison/Mudpuppy has recalled approximately 90,000 wirebound journals, activity books and calendars because the colored wire spiral binding contains excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. The Mudpuppy specialty journals have juvenile themes, so we are listing those recalled items here. What to do: Remove the barcode off the back of the recalled journal and return it to Galison with a completed recall refund form for a refund. Also discontinue use of the journal. Please go to Galison's website for the recall form that you must include with the barcode. Do not return the entire journal to Galison, only the cut-out ISBN barcode and form. You will receive one refund per barcode and form that you return.
