Recall: March 20, 2008. QVC has recalled approximately 198,000 Puzzle Track Play Sets (also called Battery Operated Vehicle Playsets) with item number T16876 because the surface paints on the pieces contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. The recalled sets are 16-piece sets that contain plastic puzzle pieces that when put together form a track with battery-operated school bus, firetruck or train that runs on the track. The recalled sets were sold exclusively by QVC, through their website, television show, toll-free phone number and Studio store from September 2002 through December 2007 for $20.
What to do: Take the recalled set away from a child and return to QVC for a full refund. If you purchased the recalled set from QVC's TV show or website, you should have received a package by mail with return information. If you purchased the set from a Studio store, return it to that store.
