Recall: March 11, 2008. Ellaroo has recalled approximately 1,200 Ring Sling baby carriers because the aluminum rings can bend or break and cause the fabric to slip out, posing a fall hazard to a child that is being carried in it. Ellaroo has received four reports of rings bending and two reports of rings breaking, but no injuries. Only Ring Sling carriers with item # 2101 or 2102 have been recalled, and lot number 03/07 or 07/04 printed on a label under the size label, have been recalled. The recalled carriers were sold in mahogany, mango stone, brasilia and malay color prints. The carriers were sold nationwide in stores and online between June 2007 and February 2008 for $100.
What to do: Stop using the Ring Sling immediately and contact Ellaroo for repair or replacement.
