Recall: February 14, 2008. Bassettbaby has recalled 18 Wendy Bellissimo Hidden Hills drop-side cribs because the side spindles can become loose and create a gap hazard that could result in entrapment or strangulation of an infant. There have been at least three reports of spindles that have loosened, but no injuries. The recalled crib is model 5446-0504 (found on the bottom rail of the headboard), sold in Navajo pine. All other cribs are not recalled. The crib was sold in Babies 'R' Us stores nationwide from November 2007 through January 2007 for $400.
What to do: Stop using the crib and contact Bassettbaby for a replacement or refund.
