Recall: February 14, 2008. Mission City Press has recalled approximately 11,000 Life of Faith charm bracelet sets because the surface paint on the pearl beads contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. The recalled bracelets have a silver-colored chain and silver-colored charms, including a Bible, angel, cross, heart, and praying hands. The bracelets were sold with clear, crystal and pearl white beads. The recalled sets include a bracelet for a girl to wear, along with a smaller, matching bracelet for a doll. The sets were sold nationwide from October 2006 through November 2007 for $15.
What to do: Take the bracelet set (including the doll's bracelet) away from a child and contact Mission City Press for a refund. If you received the set for free, remove the pearl beads or dispose of the bracelets. Customers who bought the set may return it to:
