Recall: January 31, 2008. Kids II, the manufacturer of Baby Einstein products, has recalled approximately 15,000 Baby Neptune™ Soothing Seascape crib toys because the anchors that hold the crib attachment straps to the back of the turtle can detach and pose a choking hazard. No injuries have been reported, but there have been at least 23 reports of the anchors breaking. The recalled crib toy is a plastic molded turtle with aquarium body and stuffed head and legs, model number 30858. Only crib toys manufactured in October 2007 with date code BJ7 (printed on the back of the battery compartment) are being recalled.
What to do: Stop using the crib toy and contact Kids II for a refund.
