Recall: February 6, 2008. eeBoo has recalled approximately
80,000 children's sketch books because the metal spiral bindings contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard. No injuries have been reported. Eight different styles have been recalled:
8.5 inches x 11 inches:
Drawing Birds
Butterflies
Garden Party
Up in the Tree
Nemo with Princess in Balloon
Nature
Princess and Butterflies
10 x 14 inches:
Princess and Butterflies
Other sketchbooks with colored or plain metal spiral bindings have not been recalled. Please contact eeBoo if you are unsure if your sketchbook is included in this recall.
What to do: Take the sketchbook away from a child and contact eeBoo for a replacement sketchbook that has a plain metal spiral binding.
