Recall: February 6, 2008. Seventy Two Inc. has recalled approximately 1,800 children's hooded sweatshirts because they contain drawstrings through the hood and pose a strangulation hazard. No injuries have been reported. The recalled hooded sweatshirts are reversible and come in two styles: green with hearts and stars that reverses to hot pink with light pink dots, and grey with robots and hearts that reverses to grey and black zebra pattern. The sweatshirts were sold in Nordstrom stores only (not online) in November 2007 and December 2007 for $40.
What to do: Remove the drawstring from the hood to eliminate the hazard, or return to Nordstrom or Seventy Two Inc. for a refund. Please note that Nordstrom.com does not have recall information since they do not sell the sweatshirts on their website.
