Sterling Silver Teething Rings

Product: Sterling Silver Teething Rings

Manufacturer: Empire Silver Company, of Brooklyn, NY

Recall: December 21, 2007. Empire Silver has recalled approximately 1,000 sterling silver teething rings because the silver ball that holds the ring together can separate and release the small balls inside the ring, thereby posing a choking or aspiration hazard to an infant. No injuries have been reported. There are three recalled styles: single ring with soldered ball; single ring with soldered ball and plastic heart; three rings each with soldered ball. The teething rings were sold nationwide in November 2007 for $50-$120.

What to do: Remove the teething ring from an infant and return to place of purchase for a refund.

Contact: Empire Silver Company at (800) 255-9475 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at
