Product: Cordless Air-powered Hockey Table Distributor: Gamenamics Inc., of Elgin, Ill. Recall: December 11, 2007. Gamenamics has recalled approximately 1,100 air hockey tables because the wires can overheat and melt and pose burn or fire hazards. Gamenamics has received 11 reports of melted or burnt wires but no injuries or property damage reports. The recalled table is a cordless, rechargeable air hockey table that can be folded in half and moved on wheels. The table measures 72 inches by 35 inches and is white with blue rail with the words "Jet Fan Hockey" printed on the playing surface. The numbers SG-504-6c and 73058 are printed on the packaging. The recalled tables were sold by Hammacher Schlemmer and Sky Mall catalogs and websites from August 2006 through January 2007, and June 2007 through July 2007, for $400. What to do: Consumers should stop using the air hockey table until they receive a free repair kit. If you have a recalled table that has burnt or melted wires, contact Hammacher Schlemmer to return the table for a refund.
