Product: Dynacraft Triax PK7 and Vertical PK7 Bicycles sold at Target Stores Distrubutor: Dynacraft BSC Inc., of American Canyon, Calif. Recall: March 28, 2007. Dynacraft has recalled approximately 32,000 Triax PK7 and Vertical PK7 bikes because the frame can crack while in use and cause the rider to lose control and possibly become injured from a fall or collision. There have been two (2) reports of cracked frames that resulted in minor scratches to the riders' legs and feet. The recalled bicycles are the Triax PK7 (model 8509-24) and the Vertical PK7 (model 8596-71T). Both are 20-inch aluminum bikes. The Triad was manufactured between October 2005 and May 2006, and the Vertical was manufactured between August 2004 and December 2004. The model numbers and manufacture dates are printed on a label affixed to the bike frame. Both bikes were sold only at Target stores between September 2004 and February 2007 (ARV $100). What to do: Stop using the bike and return it to the nearest Target store for a full refund. Contact: Dynacraft (800) 551-0032, Target (800) 440-0680, www.dynacraftbike.com or www.target.com |
