Here's a sweet way to treat your child's constipation. Gummy Bears and other "gummy" candy contain sorbitol, an artificial sweetner. In children with normally functioning bowels, too much sortibol causes diarrhea. In children with an episode of constipation, it can help get things moving again. This solution shouldn't be used for children with chronic constipation.
